Picluma is built for privacy. Every scan, score, and suggestion happens locally on your iPhone. Your photos never leave your device. You stay in full control of every deletion.
Local scanning only
All photo analysis uses metadata such as file size, capture date, and media type. No photo pixels or visual content are sent anywhere. No uploads. No cloud processing.
User-controlled deletion
Nothing is deleted automatically. You review every suggestion. You move items to the deletion basket only after review. You confirm the final deletion through the native iOS Photos confirmation dialog.
Recently Deleted
After iOS confirmation, deleted items move to the standard Recently Deleted album. They remain recoverable for a limited time (typically 30 days) before permanent removal. Picluma does not control this recovery window.
Analytics safety
Analytics is optional and disabled by default. When enabled, only aggregate, non-identifying events are sent. No photo content, filenames, or asset IDs are ever transmitted.
What we do not do
- We do not upload your photos
- We do not analyze photo content with AI
- We do not claim to find exact duplicates
- We do not automatically delete anything
- We do not track your location
- We do not sell or share your photo library data
