Acceptance of Terms

By using Picluma ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Picluma is a photo cleanup utility that helps you identify and review duplicate photos, screenshots, blurry photos, and large videos in your iOS photo library. Picluma suggests cleanup candidates, which you review and choose to delete or keep.

Picluma does not:

  • Upload your photos to any server.
  • Automatically delete your photos without your confirmation.
  • Access, collect, or store photo content outside your device.
  • Make any changes to your photo library without your explicit action.

Photo Library Access

Picluma requires photo library access to scan for cleanup candidates. This access is used solely to:

  • Read photo metadata (file size, date, type, dimensions).
  • Identify duplicates, screenshots, blurry photos, and large videos.
  • Generate cleanup suggestions for your review.

Picluma only deletes photos that you have explicitly marked for deletion and confirmed through the app's deletion flow.

User Responsibilities

When using Picluma, you agree to:

  • Use the app in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Not use Picluma to delete photos you do not have the right to delete.
  • Keep your device and Apple ID secure.
  • Notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

Subscriptions

Picluma offers optional subscription plans:

Annual Subscription

  • Price: $39.99/year (plus applicable taxes)
  • Trial: 7-day free trial included
  • Renews: Automatically at the end of each annual period unless canceled
  • Cancel: You can cancel at any time in App Store account settings

Monthly Subscription

  • Price: $7.99/month (plus applicable taxes)
  • Renews: Automatically each month unless canceled
  • Cancel: You can cancel at any time in App Store account settings

Lifetime Purchase

  • Price: $69.99 (one-time, plus applicable taxes)
  • Access: Lifetime access to Picluma Plus features
  • Non-refundable: As per Apple App Store policy

Payment Terms

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.
  • All purchases are subject to Apple's payment terms and conditions.

Free Usage

Picluma offers free access to:

  • Full photo library scan and results.
  • First 25 items per cleanup queue.
  • First 25 items in deletion basket.
  • Review and deletion of free-tier items.

A paywall appears when you have opened a queue, added 5+ items to your basket, or attempted to review more than 25 items in a queue. At that point, a subscription is required for unlimited access.

Deletion Disclaimer

Picluma provides a staged deletion workflow:

  1. Review stage: You mark items for deletion in the app's deletion basket.
  2. Confirmation stage: You confirm deletions through the app.
  3. iOS confirmation: iOS displays a native confirmation before anything is removed from your photo library.
  4. Recently Deleted: Deleted items move to iOS "Recently Deleted" album for 30 days, where they can be recovered.

Picluma is not responsible for photos deleted through the app's deletion workflow. Users are encouraged to review items carefully before confirming deletion.

Disclaimer of Warranties

PICLUMA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
  • THE APP WILL IDENTIFY ALL DUPLICATES, SCREENSHOTS, OR OTHER CLEANUP CANDIDATES.
  • PHOTOS WILL NOT BE INADVERTENTLY DELETED.

YOU USE PICLUMA AT YOUR OWN RISK. PICLUMA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF PHOTOS.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PICLUMA AND ITS DEVELOPERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

  • ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
  • LOSS OF PHOTOS, DATA, OR OTHER CONTENT.
  • ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE DELETION FEATURE.

Intellectual Property

The Picluma name, logo, and app design are property of Picluma. You may not copy, modify, or distribute these without permission.

Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Picluma if you violate these Terms or use the app for unlawful purposes.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Picluma after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Picluma regarding your use of the app.
